We have many years sport event hosting experience amongst our community and staff for events at all levels including Olympic Games and offer superior customer service.
To date we have played host venue to four 2015 Pan Am and ParaPan Am events, an?Olympic Table Tennis Qualifying event as well as?many National, Provincial and local championships.
Historical Unionville Main Street features an eclectic mix of boutiques, merchants, cafes and restaurants and is home to the restored Stiver Mill, McKay Art Centre, and the Varley Art Gallery.?The 25-acre museum tells the story of the ongoing settlement of Markham with heritage buildings and gardens.
Varley Art Gallery
This gallery features one of the largest permanent collections of oil paintings, watercolours, and drawings by F. H. Varley, one of Canada’s famous Group of Seven artists.
Mackay Art Centre
Built ca. 1845, the Mackay Art Centre was once the home of F.H. Varley. It now features exhibits from talented community artists.
Flato Markham Theatre
Flato Markham Theatre is one of Canada’s premier theatre houses serving the GTA and Markham residents.
Toogood Pond is a 33-hectare park that has many points of interest including a partially naturalized pond and a marsh.?A walkway circles the pond and is popular for taking leisurely walks.
Milne Dam Conservation Park
This 123-hectare (305-acre) park is the largest Markham park. It is bound by thick forest on the southern and eastern edges, with the Rouge River through the middle. Wonderful opportunities for bird watching exist in this area.
Angus Glen Golf Course
One of Canada’s most prestigious golf courses. The championship-level golf course has hosted the Canadian Open twice and was the host venue for the 2015 Pan Am golf tournament.
Encompassing 287 hectares (710 acres), the Toronto Zoo is the largest zoo in Canada. It is divided into seven zoogeographic regions: Indo-Malaya, Africa, Americas, Tundra Trek, Australasia, Eurasia, and the Canadian Domain. Some animals are displayed indoors in tropical pavilions and outdoors in what would be their naturalistic environments, with viewing at many levels. It also has areas such as the Kids Zoo, Waterside Theatre, and Splash Island.
